Beaux Rêves Equestrian is a professional horse training facility that specializes in training the whole horse and rider. Though we emphasize the principles of dressage, our goal is to improve every aspect of the partnership between horse and rider.
Hi! We’re your trainers Corinne Foxley and Katie Haugh.
We want you to feel confident and successful in all aspects of your life with your equine partner, which will allow you to have a more harmonious relationship with your horse. Being able to enjoy our equine partners in every aspect is truly a gift not only to ourselves but our horses as well. By nurturing a confident and respectful relationship with your horse, the joy you feel from riding will spill over into the rest of your life.
At Beaux Rêves, our approach centers on individualized attention and a “whole horse approach”. We will assess where you are and identify clear goals to work towards. What sets us apart is our professionalism from years of experience, as well as our uniquely collaborative approach: we are two professionals who work well together practicing the same philosophy, but we bring complementary ideas and double the expert focus to you and your horse.
We strive to make Beaux Rêves an educational hub, bringing in top professional clinicians as well as educational lectures. We believe excellent and thoughtful horse husbandry is of utmost importance to your success.
Beaux Rêves Equestrian offers both long term and short term training opportunities. Our training program is personalized to the needs and goals of each client/horse. At Beaux Reves we incorporate different types of cross training techniques to build a well rounded education for the horse. We aim to create a horse that is happy in their work, healthy both mentally and physically, and able to excel in any equestrian endeavour their owner pursues.
We can help you market a horse for sale including presenting the horse for potential buyers, creating videos and sale ads, and presenting via internet and social media.
We’re also happy to help you find and purchase your next equine partner by setting up appointments and narrowing down your search results.

Katie Haugh is a USDF Certified Instructor, a USDF Bronze and Silver medalist, and a Virginia State Certified teacher.
Katie’s love of horses started at a very young age. She took weekly lessons at a small local hunter jumper barn. Her family purchased their first horse when Katie was 8 years old. Soon after she joined her local Pony Club where she eventually earned her C-3 rating. During her time in Pony Club Katie gained experience in a variety of disciplines- eventing, jumpers, combined test, and dressage. In her twenties Katie changed her focus to dressage, and traveled to Etten-Leur, Holland to complete a working student internship.
After working abroad Katie returned to complete her education at Shepherd University and received a Bachelors in Education. She was then hired by LCPS as a third grade teacher, but kept riding and training horses part time. In addition to riding for clients, Katie also ran a successful summer camp at Grey Goose Farm for young children, as well as, a small lesson program.
Throughout Katie’s career, she has trained with some of the most noted names in the equestrian community, including:
Her diverse background allows her to incorporate different training techniques into a well rounded program that is individualized for each client. Katie is a thoughtful trainer who takes the time to tune in to the horse, find the best approach, and incorporate the most effective method to communicate with each individual horse. In addition, her patient and methodical teaching style allows her to bring the equestrian expertise she holds to all of her training clients.
Katie has extensive experience competing and her competitive spirit gives her presence in the show ring. Some of her Career Highlights Include:
Corinne Foxley started her equine education in Salt Lake City, UT with MaryLee Brighton, a trainer who specializes in starting mustangs adopted from the BLM and turning them into hunter/jumper and riding prospects. Corinne learned all the basics of natural horsemanship from her years with MaryLee. She had the opportunity to start horses in the round pen which gave her a good feel for reading and understanding the body language of the horse. While at Brighton Meadows, she also rode and competed hunter/jumper.
While attending Virginia Tech University and earning a degree in Animal Poultry Science with the intention to attend Veterinary School, Corinne worked for a KWPN breeder. Corinne was responsible for starting and riding the young horses. She also worked as the show groom for the head trainer at the farm. Here she gained yet more experience starting horses but was able to learn more about upper level competition as the show groom for the head trainer.
Following college Corinne worked as a riding instructor in DC at Rock Creek Park Horse Center while also working at Howard University assisting in neuroscience research at the Howard University Medical School. While at Rock Creek Park Horse Center, Corinne taught riders of all ages and levels and was challenged with finding the best techniques for each individual. Rock Creek Park Horse Center enabled Corinne to be more sensitive and creative in her teaching skills.
During her time at Rock Creek Park Horse Center, Corinne was offered the opportunity to work with Felicitas von Neumann-Cosel. She took on a working student position at First Choice Farm that was only supposed to be a two year commitment. After several years however, Corinne became the Assistant Trainer and worked for Felicitas for 10 years. Her time with Felicitas gave her new insight into what dressage and true balance of the horse and rider really is. Corinne was able to obtain her Bronze and Silver Medals under the tutelage and help from Felicitas. Under the wing of Felicitas, Corinne was able to gain a better understanding of showing and competing at the FEI level and the grit it takes to be successful.
During her time at First Choice Farm, Corinne took a short leave to work in Europe with Uta Graf at her farm in Kircheimbolandon, Germany. There she was able to train with Uta and expand her classical knowledge even further.
Throughout this, Corinne has also built a family of her own. She lives with her very supportive husband Jason, and her two young boys, Henry and Austin.
